THis video shows the before and after shots of the Anschutz 1913 glass bedding project. The factory set up is NOT fully free-floated, and the action rides a strip inside the stock no wider than 11 mm. Glass bedding is a MUST!

  • Yes, when you look into the Anschutz design with wood stocks, the results are surprising. I believe nearly all wooden stocked rifles of this type would benefit from a good bedding job. However, I recommend this being done by an expert, not someone who has never bedded a rifle or bedded some but not a target rifle. Comparison - had a match with another 1913 owner in a high humidity environment - by the end of the match, we had to compensate 30 clicks left for warpage. Now I don't worry!

  • If an Anschutz would benefit from bedding they would have done it in the factory. With Anschutz it is that simple. Any Anschutz can easy shoot much tighter groups than shown in the video, it all comes down to good ammo.

  • @7093170 Unfortunately you don't seem to understand the design of the 1913 or Anschutz at all. With your logic, Lilja wouldn't make replacement barrels for Anschutz either. What you are also not aware of is that it was tested before and after using Eley Red from the same factory batch. Check and see how many AMU 1913s are bedded...I'll save you the time, ALL OF THEM.

  • What models is that 1913?

  • @larshenrik91 Umm, the 1913.

  • @telecomtodd

Yes, i can see that, it says in the title. So let me make it a bit more spesific: Which year were this 1913 produced?

  • @larshenrik91 It was produced in 2007. That is not the model, that is the year it was made.

  • Informative video, thanks. I didn't know that Anschutz rifles werent already setup from teh factory to shoot 1 hole groups at 50m. Im looking at buying a used 1807. Would it benefit from glassbedding as well and is it something I can do myself? (I have ok crafting skills)

  • very nice and accurate rifle

  • @telecomtodd Anschutz deserved their "Meister Macher" label by building superb rifles. If anyone thinks he can do a better job, he or she should do so. In Europe virtually nobody beds or rebarrels an Anschutz rifle, and also to my experience for a good reason.

  • Looks nice though. Getiing my 2013 tomorrow, cant wait!

  • Is that btw a tuner on the end of the barrel?

  • @telecomtodd

Oh well... But anyways, is that a barrel tuner you have on there when shooting with the scope?

  • @telecomtodd

    Oh well
