Successful people have been using vision boards for a long time to attract the things they want in their life. One of the most famous successes with a vision board was recently described in the movie "The Secret", where John Assaraf speaks how he discovered years later how he had unknowingly bought himself the very same multi-million-dollar mansion he once had on his vision board.

A vision board helps to remember the preset goals, so they remain constantly in focus. Additional benefit for those who do not have great talent for visualization (holding a clear image in their mind's eye) is that a vision board also helps with this process. Looking at the board many times a day, being emotionally involved at it, puts the goal into the subconscious mind, which then pushes the person to think the right thoughts, speak the right words and do the right things, so the goal gets accomplished.

With mind movies it's all the same. The only difference with a vision board is that the content moves and usually has a soundtrack. It can be an Adobe Flash file, AVI video, MPEG video or even a DVD. The simplest way to make it is with Microsoft Movie Maker on Windows or Apple iMovie on Mac.

A mind movie is like a personal TV commercial. You take all the images about your goal and put into the timeline, they fade in and out, have all those fancy different transitions. On top of them you add text with positive affirmations like "It's so good to be wealthy." or "I'm grateful for my perfect health." or "I enjoy my calmness and loving attitude towards other people." Every affirmation should certainly always be in the present tense and in the positive form. Negative statements, such as "I do not smoke any more." or "I'm never late." should never be used. This is important, because the subconscious mind that thinks in images, doesn't have any image for the word "no". Everything you put in as negative, gets interpreted positively, and you certainly don't want that to happen. You also shouldn't use the process you think is necessary to get to the goal like "I'm going to be free of debt in six months." This is still focusing on the problem. Always put the end result in front of you and let the subconscious do the rest. On top of everything you may put your favorite music. This should be something that helps you emotionally to get into a positive mood.

After making the movie, it's time to watch it. Not once or twice, but many, many times. As a minimum it should be viewed each morning before getting up and each night before going to sleep, for at least one continuous month. Getting things changed in the subconscious takes repetition and repetition again. Old patterns are very easy to come back, even after one may feel that change has already taken place.
