Our design process for making the cardboard chair included the following steps. Observation - getting information on chair types, size, shape. Brainstorming - making a series of sketches. Rapid prototyping - creating paper models. Testing - building full size chairs. Refining - making changes. Implementation - creating the final design. The chair was a product of Cradle to Cradle design process because it was made from recycled cardboard found at the Room Store. We used as little material as possible. The final design was light about 16oz. We chose to get the cardboard at a furniture store because we needed to make our chair from a single piece of cardboard.
