A quick overview of bamboo flooring including many pictures from bamboo forests and bamboo flooring factories. Brought to you free from www.floordujour.com
@Drav1212 I know this is an old question but went unanswered.. if you go with bamboo, a "non carbonized" variety is the trick... The "carbonization" softens bamboo substantially... There are a couple videos floating around about bamboo grades and hardness.. sure is a pretty flooring material..
First off, thanks so much for the video. Very helpful. Secondly, in response to Greg7740- most of the companies we have been checking on have a certified commitment to mature growth, and quality standards. But, it's good to see that people are holding them accountable. No one wants to find their floor buckling after a few years.
I need to install wood floors in "HIGH" traffic areas of my home. Let me repeat that, "HIGH" traffic areas of my house, like a hallway. What is the best type of flooring for HIGH traffic areas..Thanks
Formaldehyde is present in many bamboo floors, however, not all. It all depends on the type of adhesive and the manufacturer. There are some world class great bamboos and some very very bad bamboo flooring guys too.
