  • i was at a match not too long ago and a blind judoka beasted over all the non-impaired fighters. it was amazing

  • I wouldn't know they were visually impaired if I hadn't been told that they are. Judo and Wrestling seems to be the only sports the blind will not only be able to compete in, but also have the potential to excel due to the close contact nature of the sport (and the fact that you don't have to see what the opponent is doing, and instead, "feel" it out with the movements)

  • @b3ntleg it should be even easier if you are blind from birth. You don't need to change your style because you start with being unable to see

  • My son is a blind judo player. Seems to me that some of the comments on here are from complete bell ends.

  • I saw this video before.. had so idea they were blind.

  • I get the concept. I train in BJJ and half the time you cannot see what's going on and have to relay on feel and just kind of knowing obviously BJJ is more focused on the ground but I am sure that alot of the same principles would apply.

So that being said I get a judoka becoming blind and taking up the sport. But I am struggling to get my head around on learning judo while being blind.

  • @brainstew232 ah, thx :) I'll try that, just have to go blind first ;) just kidding :P and I train Karate in which it's hard if you're blind :P

  • @geedrafter33 was his name daredevil?

  • @plowenson In judo, if you leave the boundaries, they simply stop you and start you over in the center.

  • @ShowmetheBlues hahaaha,

  • how about blind darts

  • lol
