George & Kate help a boy find buried gold.

It isn't much but I figured someone might enjoy it. This is basically just the second episode's recap of the first episode.

Hey I just realized map gap and recap rhyme.

  • I agree with JCStrickland. Do you have more of these? I'd like to see a whole weeks' episode. Square One was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid.

  • Unfortunately I don't have any week long eps. I have one more Friday episode that I will post soon, though. AndrewT3660 has posted the only full week's serial as far as I know.

  • I loved Square One and like many people this was my favorite part of the show. Anyone remember the episode where someone is impersonating George and got the real George framed for the crime, and the mask is taken off in court? That was amazing.

  • MATHNET! *dies of love*

  • @bostonscholar They officially released five cases on VHS one time, but I don't know many more details than that.

  • @quagmire7 You should put a zero in front of the colon: 0:30.

  • Are they talking about gold or weed?

  • @Sorokowski Yeah, he robbed a bank with a note saying he had a bomb. Then when the real George comes to the bank to investigate, there's a neat shot of each teller dropping behind the counter as he walks by. Wish I could see that again!

  • OMG, that's GAIL O'GRADY...right?

  • That same gold today would be worth $244,683 USD on today's market with today's currency value... Bear in mind that if you sold your gold back in 1988 (when this episode aired), that $89,415 figure Kate quoted would now be $166,811.40 in today's dollars... about $77,872 less than what you'd make selling it today... so it looks like if you sold the gold back in the late 80's, you should be kicking yourself now.

    $89,415 to $166,811.40... a 53.6% increase... inflation's a bitch.

  • it was worth it :30 just to hear that DUN DA-DUN DUN.....DUN DA-DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNN - so many memories

  • Anyone have whole episodes or kno where I can get them?

  • @Sorokowski yeah it was fuckin traumatic lol
