I love cutting-edge comics.
I have seen Frankie Boyle in concert; and would love to see this man too.
It's remarkable - and funny - stuff.

@Me401 Given that he sold out Wembley, I think plenty may have heard of him.

@Me401Newman has always come across as somewhat of a recluse. I saw him at the phoenix arts centre in 1998 or 1999, was a great show, but then he seemed to go to ground for a long time, only to reemerge a few years later with the stunning "Apocalypso Now", whereupon he promptly disappeared again. He has a few books in print which I've not yet read but I assume are worth reading. Put simply, he's not your run of the mill comedy whore like Mr. MacIntyre, and so he garners less publicity in press

That's a very good Sgt Wilson!

Rob Newman is a superb social commentator. He adds 'jokes' because historical irony isn't laugh-out-loud funny.
He was the biggest comedy star of the early nineties and he got bored of it. He isn't as funny as Bill Hicks (who is?) but he's the most sophisticated political comic there is at the moment.
His shows are thoughtful, informative lectures that make you laugh, as opposed to bang-bang stand up comedy.
Who watched this and didn't learn something?

We had. But then he dissapeared for a while and came back too political to be mainstream funny. I was a huge fan of his in the early '90s.

i like his Steve Martinesque twisted walk of confusion at 01:01 :)

i found this pretty dismale and very trite .
