If there was a god who had these magic powers he wouldent give you m.e to begin with. Praying dident help you! this drives me mad, ive had m.e for 13 years ive tried everything and it wont go away by changing your diet, by praying to god or by pacing!i its gunna go away it will just go, and it can come back if it wants! they need to find either a 1.prevention 2. a cure, but what doctors really need to do is find out what causes it.

Really guys? So what if this lady is religious. If prayer helped her through CFS good luck to her. I'm personally an athiest but I'm grateful to anyone (religious or not) who can offer support. Grow up.

@eutuve The whole formal thing doesn't help, especially with the whole god thing. You can't be telling people to pray because you sound fake more than anything. if you did a one take presentation with stuttering and rambling included, you would be trusted alot more.... well you're not really trusted at all are you? The fake smile and blatant reading didn't help either. You come across as fake as most of the people on the god channel if you know what i mean - the people who derron brown loves.

@SAMMYBABYLOVE - hi there - i absolutely agree - i have had it for 6 years - I did pacing after lots of other stuff and it worked for ages (but there comes a point when it stops working, and you slip back again! 2 Years after you posted that message and still we are no-where!!! No offense to anyone but if there is a GOD, why would he give someone ME! It is cruel and people think it is a joke and this woman said that she had Mild ME, it can get worst!!!

Religions are the only socially accepted forms of mental illnesses. And as history and the present time shows - it's a dangerous one, able to cause terror and death. We all know about the placebo effect nowadays. In spite of believing something - Alison's absolutely non-informative personal story included - we should be eager to know and to look for evidence. One that isn't as likely to be misinterpreted as religion is... I would say - generally a higher educational level could be of some help.
