Truly great fighter. Lost only four out of 111: two were disqualifications and one a narrow points defeat later avenged. Even the great Jake La Motta was lucky against him. Had he not dislocated his shoulder (and even with the injury he won the next round before he was fighting one-handed from the third) most observers think the Bull was in for a Zale-type mauling. A dislocated shoulder is the most agonising thing you can imagine. He lasted 10 with one against one of the best of all time.

Cerdan was an awesome fighter. He was built like Mickey Walker but with even more skill.
