Holy crap. You guys are vicious people. O_o

I think your also forgetting this is training, a lot of people mistake the fact that the training field is what its like.
But its not. They would be transversing vegetation, mounds, buildings even, atleast cover in general. In a case where there was an actual contact on that field, they'd break contact while peeling left/right, instead of staying in the open.
If breaking contact was such a failure of a concept. Then there goes 60years of military doctrine and training.
Bugger.

@YourRETARDEDchild nar they are a recon platoon of the 3rar while in timor. the dude that filmed it was in a program about ptsd in the australian army.

Exposed position. Combat fucks.

They are actually Aussie Commando's I'm pretty sure. Even our normal infantry sometimes use M4's etc. , its not just an SAS thing.
-
@SO17Alpha there's no M4's in the video. There are M16A1's with A2 handguards issued to some Recon units in Timor in 1999 so to to be able to fit the re-introuced M203 prior to the introduction of the M203PI for the F88.

haha since when are break contacts just for spec ops, i did them as an FO sig

Nice video.
Unless you were there and/or are an ADF instructor it's probably best not to leave negative comments. Keep in mind that those doing this drill were intended for deployment (otherwise why bother). So have a little respect please. I say this as a past ADF member.

This looks like a joint SAS and Infantry exercise (due to both the M4 and F88 being present)
This just proves the level and discipline that us Aussies have.
AUSSIE PRIDE!
