In der Halfpipe haben sich trickreiche Szenen abgespielt. Die Vert-Starter um Simon Tabron (UK), Daniel Dhers (Ven) und natürlich Condor Mat Hoffman (USA) flogen am Samstag und Sonntag hoch hinaus und packten so gut wie das Ganze Trick-Repertoire aus: „no hand to barspin 540 air", „barspin flair" und „900" sind nur einige Highlights der Vert Competition. Obwohl Mat Hoffman am Sonntag im Finale den Sieg an Simon Tabron abgeben musste und wegen eines Sturzes hinter Matt Fairbairn (AUS) nur auf dem dritten Platz landete, wurde seine Teilnahme am Contest nicht nur frenetisch bejubelt sondern auch bewundert -- schließlich ist er der beste BMX-Fahrer aller Zeiten.

woohoo, the fucking 540 lookback,flair lookback and the handplant are fucking sick...900's are cool, but man, tabrons the man...what the hell was with hoffman that day? old school as, but crashes...=(
