One of the world's foremost authorities on copyright in the digital domain, the American law professor Lawrence Lessig, visited Sweden on 18 November 2009.

In the Swedish Parliament, he held a lecture about the need for a change in copyright in the digital network age. Lessig is one of the founders of Creative Commons and a well-known proponent of reduced copyright terms on the Internet.
