Meteorites can easily go faster than the speed of sound, that is correct. 50 times faster because if it was 50 times faster than it is... 50x760 miles per hour, and that equals up to about 38,000 miles per hour, and here is how fast the speed of light can go... 24,000 miles x 7 = 168,000 miles per second(Speed of Light can go around the earth 7 times a second)So the speed of light can go 168,000 miles per second. Just some information, if you did not already know.
