We sometimes hear on TV or on the internet, did Jesus really exist? Was he really crucified? In this video I'm going to give a few (of the many) quotations from early 1st century historians who speak of Jesus as a historical person who was crucified with more details which all fall in line with what we have in the New Testament documents.

John the Baptist and James the brother of Jesus references from Josephus (here are the links, as mentioned in the video):

  • oh you moderate your comments

    what are you afraid of.

oh that's right. you're afraid of the truth

  • I have pending approval on my comments because some post offensive comments and foul language and I don't want that on my videos. I approved both your comments.

Secondly, I already addressed your statement a few comments down, please scroll down.

  • "The authenticity of the Testimonium Flavianum has been disputed since the 17th century, and by the mid 18th century the consensus view was that it had at a minimum been altered by Christian scribes, and possibly was outright forgery." -Wikipedia

Jesus probably did exist however is it too much to ask that people think for themselves?

  • One of the reasons some people cannot accept the Josephus account on Jesus is because it is believed by some scholars that a few of the words were interpolations. The passage on Jesus that I took on Josephus in the beginning of my video is from an arabic version which does not have any interpolations. Notice that the Arabic version which I used in the video does not have the presumed interpolation (if it be lawful to call him a man, He was [the] Christ, ..........

  • Cont.......

and for he appeared to them alive again the third day; as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him).

  • Its ridiculous how almost everyone who comments against Jesus' existance points out the supposed contraversy on Josephus and his writtings. They think that by "exposing" Josephus, they prove that Jesus never existed, while completly ignoring the writings of Tacitus and Mara Bar Serapion, and not even bothering to look up the other historical writings mentioned in the video that prove that Jesus existed. They'd rather have blind faith as an Atheist then accept all the evidence out there.

  • Your videos are awesome! I'm a huge fan. There so well done!

  • Amen

  • @TheAlmightyJod Serious scholarship does not question the existence of Jesus Christ. His life is supported with more documentation than Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar. In the 1890s his life was questioned and the dispute died. Now it's rising again since his Word can't be fought, only silenced. This also will not happen. So start the question of Jesus after accepting he lived, lives.

  • There is no manuscript of Josephus (all 4 or 5 of them) which contains the quote this video recites. The video has quoted what some scholars want Joesphus to have said, which they make up by leaving oiu the bits they don't like. Given that these scholars accept Josephus has been altered by Christian scribes they have no way of knowing the whole passage wasn't made up by christain scribes.

  • Every single source you quoted isn't evidence for Jesus' existence as each source is found by a man born AFTER Jesus died and writing at a time AFTER the Gospels were written. Josephus being the earliest still not writing his very highly disputed Testimonium Flavinium in about 93 C.E. The earliest gospel being written about 20 years earlier. Sorry but the only thing that these sources prove is that the STORIES of Jesus existed.

  • Amennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Jesus is great

  • I want to embed this video as a reference in the 'more details' box under my vid which exposes Zeitgeist for the NWO Satanist BANKER funded SHITEheist it is.

As as many lost ZM sheep ask me for PROOF of Jesus existence outside the bible

ZM is trying to REwrite history to convince gullible kids that Jesus the REVOLUTIONARY ANTI-banker did NOT exist

When even hardcore ATHEIST University Profs concede there is NO doubt Jesus lived!

Why wont the 'share' button work on this vid? Thanks

  • @fatatheist You'e a prime example of a bitter, lying COINTPRO troll who's angry that the pay isn't higher.

To 1nemind - THIS is excellent video with lots of info I'd not heard of. But a writer from Jesus time named PHILO is missing, I've only just heard of him & want to read his descriptions of Jesus.

Also I heard that James the brother of Jesus was not even been mentioned yet in some gospel, making the Greco/Roman report of him entirely based on eye-witnesses, ahead of the bible.

  • Polycarp 7:1 For every one who shall not confess that Jesus Christ is come in

the flesh, is antichrist: and whosoever shall not confess the

testimony of the Cross, is of the devil; and whosoever shall pervert

the oracles of the Lord to his own lusts and say that there is

neither resurrection nor judgment, that man is the firstborn of

    Satan.
