Indeed, lots of promising young players never fulfilled the predictions made by tennis scouts and coaches. But boy, did Monica live up to everything Bollitieri predicted and much much moore!

what great footage of a tennis legend. without her there would be no Sharapova or Serena Williams. Seles created the mold for modern aggressive baseline tennis: taking the ball on the rise, dictating with intense service returns, innovative angles.

Take a look at the history and the statistics. Monica has lost in Florida at her first tournament of her career against Evert, one week before the Lipton Championships. It´s funny to see. Seles has won just 3 games, but almost exactly a year later she has beaten Chris in Texas. Their third and last meeting was at the US-Open´89 , and Monica had no chance against Evert again. She won by six - love and six- two. But a new tennis generation was born.
