  • Well technically it is not misleading. A second marriage or third or fourth, is still a marriage, and regardless of whether it has followed a divorce, if it ends in divorce, it is still a MARRIAGE that ends in DIVORCE.

  • If anyone wonders why divorces are so much higher in higher church areas consider this--Those areas in america where divorce rates are low have low, and sinking, marriage rates. So what you get is children born out of wed-lock who, when there parents separate, are never counted as victims of divorce.

  • The commentary that half of marriages end in divorce, while shameful, is misleading to a degree. some think it mean that half of all people who get married get divorced. That's not true HERE'S WHY--Those divorced once are more likely to divorce a second time, and those divorced twice are more likely to divorce again. So far too many divorces TRUE, but not half of all involved in marriages endure divorce.
