  • @TheNgocKnock With the contract that I arrived under, I didn't get a say in the matter~~ but at the time of renewal, if I had good enough reason to want a different place, it is possible to work it out with my employer... In short, no real choice unless you take it upon yourself to acquire a home.

  • Can You Choose To Get A Officetel Or A Ampartment?

  • @Atari3419 Loft apartments tend to be under the category of officetel...which is basically an office building with businesses, but the upper floors are residential. I can't say it's a very common housing choice, since these tend to be pretty pricey. Of all the other foreigners I know, I only know of 2 others who have loft-style homes. Most others have the small studio apartments, but they live closer to the center part of the city.

  • How common is it for a foreigner to land a loft apartment like yours? I like it.

  • @kittychang39 this officetel is through a school, but it's closer to the edge of Seoul rather than in the central part. If you look for an apt or an officetel near the center of Seoul, you can expect the size to be a lot smaller.

  • hey just wondering, did you go to a school or were you a teacher? and also which officetel is this?
