I didn't notice that but I guess within the context of this movie Ms Rain was the first person to love Precious. So maybe it was just a little subconscious prodding on the director's part meant to help drive a point home.

The same indestructible powerful but now masculine love is seen in Lenny Kravitz' eyes while he encounters Precious

If you watch the movie she was like precious come help mommy(when she was playing with her self) and
if you read the book its more vulgar than that

watched this movie 30 mins ago, and im STILL crying. Mo'nique DESERVES a nomination if not an academy award!....Her performance was absolutely blood curling and some scenes just gave me chills. This movie is refreashing...definately go see it.
