@robinturnermusic the song is written , composed and sung by colm gallagher originally, not christy moore. Christy got it from colm when he was visiting l.a. many years ago. nice version though!

I just discovered this song when I was browsing and looking for songs by Christy Moore. It is a very funny song, perfect for children and also for adults who wish to feel young, like me. Of course this version by Robin Turner is a little different from the Christy Moore original, but it is excellent done. I enjoy it, time after time. So my thanks to you, Robin.

As a Dutchman I fell in love with Ireland, it's people and it's music ( and let's not forget Guinness! ). My cousin Eric and his wife Karin once gave me ( music addicted man ) a self-made compilation CD with the song The Voyage by Christy Moore on it. I immediately got hit by it's simple but beautiful melody and of course the great lyrics.
