Jick ch. 39 (MARATHON:part 2/5) "Cherry's are,much more sweeter then apples."

(Joe's P.O.V.)

I had the urge to go back to my house and hug Nicole and tell her that I was so sorry for hurting her,and not just today,but everyday. I mean,whas it really necessary to hurt her? I answered that one. No,no it wasen't.
I was about to turn around,but then I remembered the reason I had caused all that pain to her...Nick. My true love,who I had also caused to much pain. I heard what he had said to Nicole earlier,that he still loved me,and I loved him.
But I just can't go back to him,knowing that one day were going to have some pathetic fight and I'm going to do somethign that causes him much more pain. I just wouldn't live with myself if I hurt him like I had.So, I kept running threw the forest,wanting to escape from everyone and everything. I wanted to find someone...something...that could kill me. I didin't really care who,or what,was it...only if they could be able to kill a crzed vampire like me. And neither the wind or rain was going to stop me.
As I kept running deeper into the forest, I saw a light,it was very dim but it was still visible. I ran towards the light (A/N:No Joe don't run into the light!! haha lol stupid joke. moving on.) and saw that there was a person holding onto a little lamp.I couldn't see if the person was a men or a women,he or she,had a black cap on,and it's body was too little ,too pettite to be a man's body.And it was a bit too dark in the forest,you couldn't see clearly,I guess it was a good thing for the person to have a lamp on his hands. I stoped when I saw the person closer to me then earlier. We stood there motionless,I tried to look at it's face,but the cape and the dark didin't helped much.
"umm,I don't think you should be here in the forest. It's,er,dark and raining,you could fall." I said,the person infront of me chuckled.
"Ha! thanks for pointing the obvious." It's voice was like a beautyful lullaby,she was definitly a she. When she finished her sentence she looked up and raised her hand,where a drop of water fell on top. "And I wouldn't worry for me.I'm just like you." she said,as she took her little cap hat off,reveiling a her curly light brown hair, she had light brown eyes allmost green it was a beautyful color,her skin pale (just like mine,I understood what she meant),her lips a deep pink,this little girl was beautyful.
"aww,thanks! you're quite handsome yourself!" she grinned at me,and I stared at her with curious eyes.
"How did u...?"
"Oh,I read minds...lot's of us have those kind of skills,some of us read minds,like me,some can control feelings,some can see the future,and,lots of stuff...there's too many..."
"Wait,wait ,wait." She waited with patient eyes. "There's more?"
"Yeah. Were a family,we live a bit more deeper in the forest." She announced
"How many of u are they?" I was curious and I wanted to know everything about them,especially if some of them could have a specialty on killing...
"Umm,well,we were 20 but 15 of them left years ago...so now were only 5." she said,her voice kinda sad. "oh,and you don't have to worry...we won't kill you...the killers left long ago." she growled at the ground. There goes my chance of dying. Oh,well. time to move on.
"Er,ok. thanks for your help... umm..??" I didin't knew her name.
"Oh,yeah." she smiled,turned around to a bush right beside her closed her eyes and extended her hand towards it. Suddenly 4 cherrys were on her hand,she opened her eyes and lifted her left eyebrow,and laughed. She turned around to look at me,and put the cherry's on my hand she laughed again.
"I'm Ana." her cheeks turning a little rose pink.
"Um,haha I'm Joe. And,umm,thanks for the cherrys." I told her,she laughed again.
"It was suppossed to be an apple." she smiled. "I've been told I'm as sweet as an apple,so, I thought it would be kinds cool if I did that...but it didin't really...work." she laughed,and I laughed with her.
"Apples come from trees,not from bushes." I told her,still laughing a little. she blushed. "I guess that's why it didin't work." she said.
"But,don't worry. Cherry's are much,much more sweeter then apples."
