Locked out in Copenhagen

Since day one of the Copenhagen climate summit, our Friends of the Earth delegation has stood with people from African nations, small island states, and other poor countries in demanding climate justice. Apparently our advocacy for a strong and just agreement was too much for the United Nations to handle. When our representatives arrived at the conference on the morning of December 16, they were barred from entering while other non-governmental organizations were still allowed to attend! This video captures how the day's events unfolded.

As I knew it , this conference is a total failure from the get go. I have lived amongst the poor in a 3rd World country half of my life. So long as there is poverty, corruption will always exist. To let rich nations pay the poor nation for their bad habits is a farce and will never happen. One thing that is ongoing to date in Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, Burma, Africa is DEFORESTRATION! This is an ongoing problem spanning for DECADES and has never been eliminated.
