My daughter was born with brain damage, we asked for all the ultrasounds and any files the maternal fetal medicine unit had on her. We have no videos and only 11 pics on week 35 (one week before she was born with hydrops fetalis and 2.2 hemoglobin.) 4D was used once a week.

Please help us find justice, we need public support.

@monicavictor82 Must have had a stroke when i wrote microwaves. Never the less the point was there is lots of research proving 3D/4D ultrasounds elevate amniotic fluid temps.

@arnietf You are correct in that the Ultrasound waves do not enter the observed object. But it does go through the amniotic fluid. When it does, for extended periods of time it causes the amniotic fluid temperature to elevate. This is not good for the fetus.

@GJolie She just wants someone to blame because nature threw her a curveball. It makes her feel better to lay the blame on something when it was just a natural occurance. Sad for the kid, but it's a simple fact.

@Lavastorm1973 Who would use a 4D ultrasound once a week anyway unless they happened to have one at home? I think it is unlikely that the two are related.

I just think these are the coolest things =) !!! i cant have kids , but I still think this is just so awesome that the ultrasounds have gotten so detailed =) .

Hello, I am a Radiologic Technologist. Ultrasound uses sonor similar to what a submarine uses to detect objects in front of it. The ultrasound wave does not enter the object it is visualizing as would an x-ray. It is therefore considered harmless and no more destructive than if you took a picture of your child with a camera. Actually less damaging as the camera utilizes flash which can be disturbing to the cornea. Hope this info is helpful. Keep the 3 & 4 D alive!!!
