Its a shame if the Germans couldn't produce this car then the Chinese wouldn't pick up on it and mass produce it themselves. I want one so step up and make this happen Fossil fuels will be around for another 50 plus years!

Well, coming up on 2012 and still not available in the US. I'm not surprised by that, but I sure would love to have one.

@grassfibre I wouldn't say finally....the Germans have always been incredible auto manufacturers. German Engineers are some of the best.

Apparently it can. It has a top speed of 160km/h and acceleration of 0-100km/h of 19 seconds in one version and 9 seconds in another.

the most trouble free car i ever owned cost me 20 dollars . it was a 1975 plymouth duster in line six (225) the only thing i put on it was a ball joint and a air filter

I wish Bill Ford was watching this . this is automotive future. the usa will get on ship early ,or pay the price dearly. i think if it has two big freash air dumps like my 57 ford i wouldnt want ac. could a tail fin ridge strenthen the rearcollision area? Dave

I hope they get this baby to the production line!! It's among the most brilliant moves in automotive engeneering in the last few years :D Outstanding fuel economy, really fast (on the GT version), gorgeous and cheap!!! What more can you ask for???
