  • whats the siliocon rag for?

  • @mcotinas I use it to wipe down not metalic surfaces such as stocks and scopes.

  • what rifle is that is it a pellete rifle? it looks really nice

  • @soulonfire6666666666 This rifle is a Remington 511 Scoremaster and can shoot .22 short, long, and long rifle.

  • Hey dude, just got my first .22 rifle and was just wondering, should the inside of the barrel be kept oiled at all?

  • I keep a very light coat of oil in my bore. You don't want to much in there, just a little. What I do is after I run my last lightly oiled patch through the bore I run a dry patch through to remove any excess oil.

  • Which silicon cloth are you using

  • My uncle told me how to clean a gun and me you and my uncle clean them the same way

  • Great job demonstrating how to clean. As a Marine I can just suggest one more thing. I would punch the bore with a bore brush that comes with your cleaning kit by letting it running all the way through and pulling it out the muzzle end and then doing the same with the rag. This will loosen carbon that is stuck to any part the the barrel and chamber.

  • Thanks dude this video helped me out a lot, it was very informative.

  • thanks man

  • @BASSSTALKER89 its not a jag its a slotted tip for your patches. a jag has the pointed tip with the ribs to hold the patch on when pulling it back through.

  • The patch holder thing at (3:15) is called a jag.

  • @sniper479 it is good to leave a light coating of oil to prevent rust especially when storing for long periods of time. But run a rag through it every now and then to make sure no large droplets form because when you fire your gun the projectile will superheat that oil and basically deform your barrel, I've seen it happen.

  • thanks i'm lol 32 never cleaned a gun before i looked this up and watched your video and it's all clean that's and shoot on

  • My dad taught me to clean my firearms with gasoline, said that's how they did it in the Cuban army. Works like a charm.
