@shamaladingdong12 If you'll recall, before he died Kira told the cops "It's not enough, this world is still rotten", so I don't think you can say he ever got his "perfect world". And L DID stop his crusade. Even in death, L proved to be the better man through his two sucessors. Kira lost because Near was right. He was just a crazy serial killer with a God complex.
