A Martin Luther Hymnal, Starts out slow, then picks up. It's a great old song, So good the church he opposed the teachings of, Now sings it Proudly. Luther was against praying and giving the glory to Mary, Mary said in Luke 1:47-49 (New International Version)

47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, 49for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.

We have the very same bible (New testament) as them, how many time is Mary mentioned in the bible?
The bible is the truth, trust in God, not man.
God is the only one infallible

Now was Martin Luther really 100% wrong?

btw, if you read Jeremiah 44:15-30 you can also tell that, like in ch. 7, the LORD is not pleased with the praise being given to the Queen of Heaven, that to these people she is a pagan goddess.

@tigerlillium Amen, history repeats itself. but those today hold and call Mary as the queen of heaven.

I agree Mary is called blessed, but so was Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. All were 100% human flesh and bone.

For us, ALL the apostles have autority to guide de Church, by the apostolic sucession, but NO ONE can change the law, can change the faith, if do it, ANATEMA!

Why the picture in 4.41 - it appears strangely mormon-like? I'm OK with pictures of Jesus that teach the truth but portraits become objects of veneration and adoration. God the Father was never incarnate. On a positivge note- great triumphant modern version with good singing and arrangement. Thanks.

Such a good song. I'm 17 but I haven't heard a single pop OR contemporary "Christian" song that has quite the impact on my soul. Oh! And catholics and Protestants need to quit fighting. We need to unite.
