Talas and Hollander's both have book leather. Not sure where else, but I'm sure it's out there.

You can buy it at plenty of places online. Search for "bookbinding leather", or google "hewitt" or "leffler" etc.

There are a couple sellers that sell bookbinding leather on eBay.
Also check out talasonline and the the dot come at the end. Talas is an excellent source for bookbinding supplies.
