@MyTwoCentsWorth100 Tamping? why would a person tamp the concrete?Take a look at that mud. The slab look like a six inch, and the slump of the mud look like about a 5 1/2 to 6 inch. Looks like theyt had some sort of foam barrier around the edge as well...tamping might cause that barrier to fail. Any tamping should be done to the earth subgrade, not the wet concrete.

Why was there no painstaking tamping but only smoothing? Fail.

Why doesnt anyone use a laser to adjust the level of the concrete? its faster and you dont have to bend over half a day.

Pour it ie. with a power sceed, ive not seen the old manual sceed in years
Then everyone can leave except 1 guy to power trowell takes longer to wait but only paying 1 guy right.
Thencut it the next day... simple Ive never seen so much traffic on such a small pad
