A drastically different version of "Sweetheart", performed during the soundcheck of their first show at Hammersmith Odeon on 5/28/1980. Enjoy!

  • its actually quite a heavy song but the lyrics are so subtle and unforced...only lizzy cud do this type of song and get the mix right between heavy drums/guitar and understated(if thats the right word) vocals

    such a classy band

  • Ho-lee-shit. The coolest band ever... every time I think my appreciation of them has peaked, I hear something else that jacks it up even higher. Awesome.

  • Awesome version!!

  • Great song

  • the way the lyrics flow out of phils mouth is amazing. I just listened to chinatown last night and I've realised it's one of the best albums lizzy ever did.

  • i know exactly what your saying! lol. some lizzy songs sneak up on you like that....

  • Oh Man!! I Love it.............

  • This is great. My doubt over this song is over! Thank you!

  • I agree with Korrayls totally. This also sounds tuned down a key or two and I noticed that this version sounds rather depressing for the type of song it is.

  • Great post! is it just me, or did he change the lyrics quite a bit here?
