Jack Thompson v. Paul Levinson on videogames and violence

Jack Thompson and I go at it on whether violence in videogames causes violence in the real world. Thomspon ignores evidence - such as decreasing crime rates in the last decade - that videogames have no such ill-effect, and mis-cites pyschological studies. The reason people want to ban video games is because parents don't want to accept the fact that they are being irresponsible in terms of what video games their kids play. Jack Thompson is just a fascist who wants to take the rights and freedoms away from people as he sees fit. Im glad that someone like you Professor is there to back us up :D

@ronalddehiann What is a "B2" average - higher than B? In any case, you do need to give enough time to your schoolwork to do well. And then, with your free time, if you prefer playing videogames to playing baseball, I would have no problem with that I were your teacher. It sounds to me that you're smart, and you'll do the best thing.

jack is so blind to fact. can we all remember the virgina tech shooting when he tried to blame counter strike for teaching the gunner how to kill before the identity of the killer was revealed. and on second note he doesn't even mention who did the study on that violence in teens have gone up while the professor stated a legit source that an entire city of new york violence has gone down completely he could have mentioned violence in america going down but jack so is god damn rude
