Don Lafontaine passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 68! Don was the world famous voice over artist you've heard on several thousand movie and TV trailers. He made the words "In a world" famous and was one of the people who started the voice overs for movie trailers. Imagine life without the type of movie trailers we have now. Don Lafontaine made history and changed the way movie trailers are to this day.

Don was more to all of us at "RedCarpet Talk" then just another voice over artist. Don was a personal friend and a GREAT person to be around. Back in 2006 when "RedCarpet Talk" was first starting out Don volunteered his time to help take "RedCarpet Talk" to the next level in the world of entertainment.

In May of 2007 on a trip to California owner of "RedCarpet Talk" Keith McDonley and his crew had the chance to personally meet the man behind the world famous voice we all love to hear. Don was the type of person who would help ANYONE who needed it. Something I remember Don saying when we had the chance to meet him. Don said "Money means NOTHING to me or my wife!! It's not about the money. I just want people to hear my wifes voice!" Don's wife Nita Whitaker is a Christian singer who has an AMAZING voice.... The reason I bring this up is because it just goes to show the type of person Don really was. Don didn't care about the money unlike most people in Hollywood and Don LOVED his life, wife and family.

When Don agreed to help us out with our original voice work he said "Good luck with your venture" and even gave us a 30 minute phone interview........ Coming from such a famous voice over artist in the business it was unbelievable and to this day I still can't believe that we had the chance to meet or even talk to Don Lafontaine. Without Don "RedCarpet Talk" would have never grown as fast as it did. Don Lafontaine was a BIG reason "RedCarpet Talk" became as successful as it is today and we are forever grateful.

Don is in a better place now and will truly be missed!!! Don's family is in our thoughts and prayers. The voice over business will NEVER be the same. Don was loved by so many it's a devastating loss in Hollywood and the "Youtube" community is reaching out with videos from the public offering there condolences to Don Lafontaine's family and friends. Some fans are even referring Don's death to when Elvis Presley pasted away "both men had such a wonderful voice." the fan said in his tribute video.

Below is a video dedicated to Don Lafontaine on behalf of "RedCarpet Talk" including a couple clips from the "RedCarpet Talk" exclusive interview along with the original voice work he did for us. The last part of this clip is some of the the last work Don did for "RedCarpet Talk"..

RIP Don Lafontaine!!!
