Doo Dah Days (2008)

Doo Dah Days is an annual event held at Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh. The event is sponsored by the Lawrenceville Historical Society http://www.lhs15201.org/, a neighborhood group dedicated to the preservation of the community's history. Lawrenceville is Pittsburgh's oldest neighborhood and was the birthplace of Stephen Foster. Established in 1844, Allegheny Cemetery is one of the original "Rural Cemeteries" in America. It is a 300 acre green oasis in the midst of an otherwise urban setting. Stephen Foster is buried in Allegheny Cemetery as are many other significant persons.

Too, the general sense I get of this is the shocking resemblance to WILLOUGHBY, from the infamous "Twilight Zone" episode of the same name. Band stands and hoop skirts and gaiety, and DEATH. Delightful nonetheless, I would absolutely attend such an event. WOULD the man from 0:29 be there? That would be an added draw...
