When you reverse the audio of some of the monster's roaring sounds it's clearly the sound of a plane hurtling toward downward, maybe there is some relation between the plane crash and the monster

I doubt we will completely understand the Smoke Monster before the end of Season 6. But we might learn more about Jacob in Season 5. Yay!

the smoke monster can take any size, it makes the insect/taxi printer noise when it is moving except for when ben summons it.

Strange how there seems to be a miniature smokey that flies around in the jungle making those insect sounds but then bursts up from beneath the ground much larger and aggressively roaring. I really hope they explain this stuff soon O.O

Thanks, yeah I'm not sure either, that's just my theory and I would bet that I'm right. The producers have said that some the strange things seen on the island are the monster in different form, and it has shown the ability to split itself into parts before, I'm guessing that's why it is so tiny in this scene.
