Finally, a fellow B&W owner that listens to the type of music I like, on some speakers that I have always looked to upgrade to.

@raytheprinter Many thanks! The marantz sounds great, very warm and velvety, the best amp tested after famous and expensive amplifiers (Classe' audio 'and electrocompaniet and musical fidelity. Including the great analog sound!

@hobot6lmb16 thanks

@eltounsi76 This legendary old Marantz sounds much better than many noble and expensive amps I've tried ... components, construction and sound are comparable to apli that cost $ 7000 !
Ciao.

Has your 2270 had it's capacitors replaced, or has it been restored in any other way?

Wow, I am amazed that Old Marantz intergrated that well with your new B&W 804s. All things concidered, this being a Youtube video and all; If I were blindfolded I'd think those were 802s being driven by tube amps. Great video, great artist choice as well. I am so tired of hearing Nora Jones and "Bass I Love You" on fine speakers such as these. I have to wonder now, how well 703s, 803s, or even The 802s would have sounded with that vintage Marantz.

@MrEasywind500 thank you! This old Marantz amp sounds better than expensive ampli (Classe' audio and Electrocompaniet I tried, the sound is fabulous! I think that sounds fine with the 703 and 802, are greater than its 70 watts for channel are like 150 watts of amplifier built right now, at low volume the bass is deep and warm, the best amp I've ever heard. Just remove the cover and see the construction and components. Ciao
