  • THIS DUMB BITCH HAS no CLUE AS TO WHAT aLICE pAUL DID......BACKMANN IS AN ASS

  • @scrobin81 It is known that Alice Paul believed abortion exploits women and that she was very opposed to her Equal Rights Amendment being associated with the pro-abortion movement. Are you familiar with Susan B. Anthony's views on abortion? How about Elizabeth Cady Stanton? Ever wondered why modern "feminists" don't reference the early suffragettes when arguing for abortion? It's because they CAN'T, as most of these "radical" women were overwhelmingly pro-life.

  • Bachmann and Alice Pauls name should NEVER be used in the same sentence....Michele Bachmann is a LOON!

  • Exactly. I felt the same way. Bachmann used Alice Paul to make a dig at choice. No one knows if Alice Paul was pro-life or pro-choice. Bachmann doesn't give a damn about Alice Paul or women's rights. She justing using Paul for her own agenda.

  • Wonderful video. Too bad Alice Paul didn't look back to the l7th Amendment with regard to election of senators by popular vote in l913. Women couldn't vote until l9l9 so the idea of two senators being one a qualified male and one being a qualified female from each state never entered the Congressmens mind. I think we would have a better balance in US Senate with equal gender representation

  • Raindog, if you actually listened objectively to the video instead of trying to twist it to hit Bachmann, she brings up abortion because in addition to her work on women's suffrage, she was a staunch opponent of abortion. I think Bachmann makes a good point in showing how twisted the women's rights movement has become. From voting to abortion on demand! Now that's freedom and equality.

  • Wait a minute. Wasn't this medal being awarded for Alice Paul's work on women's suffrage? The title says "Michele Bachmann honors ear;y suffragist Alice Paul." But now Bachmann has turned it into a pathetic diatribe against legalized abortion. How sad. Bachmann can't even give a person a medal without injecting her own extremist agenda into the speech.
