no actually, only the inline 5 cylinder diesel engines in the volvo 850 and early volvo v70 are made by audi/volkswagen
the T5 engine and the 2.5 GLT are made by volvo only

Y i know that the turbo's come from mitsubishi. But where do they build the 5-cyl then? And is it somethingt they have bought the license to make? I mean look at their V8, they wen't to japan for that engine aswell.

Indeed and the only thing Ford ever did for Volvo when they owned the company was nick the five cylinder engine and stick it in their Focus ST and RS.
In Europe they also used the Mitsu 16T, 18T and 19T (later model phase one R's).
