Great works of art attract and fascinate us. So it comes as no surprise that some of the more recognizable pieces of art get spoofed mercilessly by artists and wags everywhere. This is another in a series of art spoofs, this one based on "The Last Supper," and started by Leonardo da Vinci in 1495 and finished in 1498 for the dining hall at Santa Maria delle Grazie in MIlano. It was painted on a dry wall, rather than a wet one, so it is not a true fresco. Because of this, it has not completely escaped the ravages of time. It has been spoofed in movie tableaus (M*A*S*H and Mel Brooks' History of the World, Part 1, for example) and by artists many times, including an artistic imitation made of salt and another made of chocolate. Originally included music from "Jesus Christ Superstar," but the music police forced a switch, so it now contains Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto," from the YouTube AudioSwap file.
