Saying that you are a Quaker but not a Christian is folly, as ridiculous as one saying that he is an atheist-Catholic or a Buddhist-terrorist. Jesus Christ and His spirit and message were at the very center of the founding of the Society of Friends. You have turned Meeting for Worship via this video into a self-centered, trendy, feel good mockery. Quakerism transcends all of this, and in its essence and grace, is more "with it" than videos like this will ever be..

May I ask which area of the US you are from? As I grew up in central Iowa. The area was heavily Quaker. I had a friend who just looked into Quakerism and stated why the Friends numbers declined and I can't argue with it. He said the doors were held open and the heretics came in and drove out those who were in the 'truth'. Thus' drove people to other 'steeple-houses' to find the 'word'.
Could you give your 'Quaker' opinion on the trinity?

@foxthequaker As myzblu said, it's offensive and that is true. The video denies Christ is the savior and it also makes a mockery of a Quaker meeting for worship, which is is a sobor affair.

@canadacookie You really can't....there are those people, however, who claim to be Quakers and aren't Christian, but they're neither.

@onemarktwoyou And there are many Quakers who do not subscribe to this "new" theology to which you are referring. I am a Quaker and do not believe in homosexuality, that there are many paths to God, etc.

@myzblu offensive how get a sense of humour

@onemarktwoyou I think that the Almighty is fundamentally all loving, I dont think that eternal punishment is in that nature, I personally view His/Her name as Yahweh or Elohim
all the best my friend :)

As far as I know, no one I attend church with knows or noticed that I do this. This is a personal thing.
As hell goes, when first starting out I thought hell was nothingness. I thought it was described so early people that didn't even have zero in the number system could relate to some kind of an understanding of "nothingness". I still have trouble personally with the concept in traditional thought,I do realize what the bible says,I just can't see it.

I remove the vowel in respect to His name as it is to great for me to spell(including a generic name as well). I find its a way to remember to humble myself. Also when referring to Him I capitalize ex.(His, He, Lord, Creator ect...). Note Lord is a title as is Creator. Now referring to other god(s) I do not capitalize even if they are the first word of a sentence, if I do then its a mistake. This is to show obedience to the first commandment.

@onemarktwoyou I am fairly similiar in outlook too, although I do not believe in a literal eternal hell, btw why do you say G-d?
Just FYI. You're not in fellowship with the beliefs of George Fox, but rather that of Elias Hicks.
Quotes from George Fox, from the Journal of George Fox (Nickalls):
"And soId I directed the people to their teacher, Christ Jesus their saviour, when these mountains were laid low, and so did set up Christ in the hearts of his people."
p. 82
"...Christ was the teacher of his people and their saviour."
p. 118
There are many more examples in his journal. Two was all I could fit in the comments.
