In a way, I really feel sorry for Nimueh. She didn't know the magic would kill Igraine, and yet Uther still blamed her. She was Uther's friend, and when he wished for a son she gave him his wish. It wasn't her fault - it was Uther's ignorance that banished magic good and evil in Camelot.
