Im 13 and I can play that....
ive used this video so thanks for the help :)
my only comment is that at bar 15 you rush it near the end of the bar were you have to bass notes in one beat..

thats rude, my dru mteacher made me do it without a double bass :| slide technique anah ya'know makes it much harder! :@

That was really good, better than i can play it. I like the sound of ya drum kit too. I'd say the only thing is ya double bass drum is a little to fast on some bits, but appart from that, it sounded perfect :)

Love the big Drum ending. Awesome.
I thought you could only use a double pedal for solos?

Hi Billy - sorry I didn't reply earlier. Nope - I've checked this with one of the chief examiners on the Trinity Guildhall forum (hence the delay). Double pedals are allowed throughout the pieces in the upper grades (6-8).

But does that mean there will be one in the exam room, i remember when taking my grade 7 there was no double bass pedal, (i suppose you could bring your own??)

They definitely won't provide you with one but you are absolutely allowed to bring your own as long as the swap over doesn't interfere with the timings of the exams.

It does actually state "Double bass drum pedals may be used in solos and fills if desired" in the front of the 'Drum Kit 3' book. I don't think my teacher is aware that you actually can use a double pedal. Still, I'll be performing this piece at full tempo with just a single, despite owning a double pedal.

The thing with this piece is that you can do the piece with a single pedal - it's just more "metal" to play double in my book! ;-)
