  • 1:14, are they dumping fuel or what???

  • Just making smoke

  • This year's airshow is scheduled for July 13 to 15. If you'll be in Western NY it's definitely worth checking out!

web search "1941 HAG" for more details

  • At last!!! A person who knows how to operate a video camera!!! Excellent work of panning and doing it right!!!

  • Well, thanx for the compliment. It's appreciated, but you didn't see how much shaky video I had to edit out to make this clip

  • @fidan2fast First, I don't think it was really as steep as it looks...and I think it was more of a "swoop" than a dive. If you don't dive long enough for your speed to build way up, there's no problem. And the Mitchell isn't a "heavy" bomber...that's the B-17, Lancaster, etc. Those planes couldn't do this, because it was all manual control, and it took a LOT more strength to pull it out of a dive fast enough. The B-25 flies more like a very big fighter, which is why they have them fixed .50cals!

  • @commiebobo They say that about a lot of engines...and a jet will do a better job of it. But besides that, the B-25's reputation for being very loud came from all the individual exhaust stubs arranged around the engine nacelles...this particular plane, along with many other survivors, has (wrongly, I think) been retrofitted with "donut" piping and two large exhaust stacks per engine (rather than 14 small ones). So this may not be "quiet", but it's no louder than any other radial-engine plane.

  • ah ok, lol

  • as a fellow pilot said about the b25 "the best way to convert fuel into noise."

we had one fly over our airfield (00V) and DAMN! that thing is loud as hell.

  • 1:03 to 1:10 that's a very steep dive for a heavy bomber in low altitude

  • thats got to be the craziest nose art ever to be put on a plane. i love it. lol

  • i used to go to these shows every year, brockport ny here, thx for posting.

  • love the extra chatter of B-25 engines. thanx for posting from my own backyard in canandaigua
