One Million Mormon Missionaries in 175 Years of LDS History

June 2007 marked a grand milestone in the history of Mormon missionary work. Now, more than 1 million missionaries have served since the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Elder M. Russell Ballard said, "One million young men and young women and couples have volunteered their time and their resources. They serve to help others and they go the extra mile to lift and to bless people in all walks of life."

This milestone represnts a mosaic of missionaries across the globe, each with a desire to serve.

Since the organization fo the Church in 1830, there has been rapid and sustained growth that now reflects a global depth and diversity through its presence in most of the world's nations.

Someone who follows the Scriptures, which contain everything that is necessary for salvation.

Then I think these missionaries (and all LDS members) are set. We love, cherish, read, study and follow the Holy Scriptures.
