  • @ctgprguy THANK YOU! PREACH! If it wasn't for the influence of pure rhythm & blues, there wouldn't be any rockabilly or anything else for that matter.

  • Rockabilly? Are you kidding? Rockabilly is performed by country and western singers who crossed over to rock. This is pure rhythm & blues. Don't let the uptempo beat fool you.

  • I've never heard this song before & maybe it's because it's considered Rockabilly. Rockabilly wasn't played herein the Pacific North-west 7if it wasn't for the internet, YouTube & those that have posted all this Rockabilly I'd of never known of it. It was all mainstream around these parts, & where exactly it was played and why is unknown to me. Thx

  • THIS WAS NICE !!!! SHE KINDA SOUNDS LIKE LIL ESTER!!

  • Dolly's best toon...........wicked!

  • A wonderful female singer, very little known but worth being listening to..

A most interesting bio can be found in the sleeve of the following cd, with other top female singers : "Hands off, 1950-1956 Modern Studio recordings " (Acerecords) - with the very first singles (A's & B's ) recorded by Donna Hightower..A must!!

  • yes wow what a lady totally unknown to me. more info please.
