By any chance do you have the number to call them ?

I guess there's a version 3 now, the one I saw in target is rated for 55 lumens on high and 6 lumens on low.
Another great light is the river rock lights.......They had a 1 aa (I have it) rated tor 45 lumens, that projected the same type of beam as the version 1 X1. It gets around 30 hours battery life also. I'll probably end up getting the version 3 X1, just because I am addicted to these little 1 aa lights.

Finally, someone who has a X1 Version 1. I love my Version 1 because it's perfect for reading maps. It is a perfectally round spot that has the same intensity throughout the circumfrence of the spot. No dot within a dot. I only wish they would not have abandoned this idea. There is no silver colored reflector. It was a magnified lense more like a projector lense. This distributes the light evenly. VS a bright spot that drowns out what your looking at. Like an auditorium spot light.

Good thorough review of this light my friend... thank you for sending it over as response... great info to add to my review. I really like these lights for the money indeed, and the new updated version has all welcome upgrades. I still will love to see a pocket clip on these though... then it would almost be perfect.
