@quagapp i think he suffered clinical depression on and off for a while. often mental illness runs in a family. well, as far as wikipedia says anyway.

it does sound like sylvia's voice- except where sylvia was passionate and extreme (mad, basically) frieda seems sharper and more focused. you can't detect (in frieda's voice) any kind of unbridled agitation.

I think she's the embodiment of survival, entering the land of her parents and making her own path between their towering legacies.
