I like your style of parenting.. Thats very smart run through it before the real thing

Aw she's a cutie! She reminds me of myself when I was little, the way she has her pink teddy bear with her. I have a pink teddy bear that I've had since I was two and I would never go anywhere without her when I was little.

she is precious!

@fishinawafflemaker: it turned out to be a good method for getting her through the anticipation, but the real ones still made her cry and we felt like we'd betrayed her. She looked at us through the tears with a "how could you do this to me? I trusted you" kind of look. It was always hard. Thanks for the nice comments.

That was a great idea to practice the shots. You have good parenting skills.
I have a curiosity. It was this same doctor applied the shots? When Lily began to cry, she tried to calm her daughter? Tks!

@garotadoslabiosdemel This is her mother practicing with her. The doctor was not as gentle or loving.

aww she is so cute... she looks tough... how did the real shots go? I know she's 8 now, but I'd like to know, to see if this is good for if I ever have kids. do you have a vid of the real ones? You have a very good method, though. She looks fearless. please reply, thanks!

@fishinawafflemaker: I just remembered one other thing. Just a couple of years ago, we discoverd this cream called Emla that takes care of this. You rub it on the skin where the shot is going to go about an hour before and by the time of the shot, it's painless. It was suggested to us by the pharmacist at Seattle Children's Hospital and we've used it for every shot since.
