You have to realise that at their peak, they revolutionised music. Yes, listening to them in today's musical climate, you may not enjoy them- but when they first performed their songs, there was no comparison. Their music was ground-breaking, even if you can't appreciate it today.

Every Guitar Hero post Guitar Hero 2 has got progressively worse, i don't undestand why people can't see that, the engine is completly terrible the setlist's are dull and there DLC is NOTHING compared to Rockbands

I'm getting this tomorrow, but only the game (I don't have enough money for all the instruments) so I'm probably gonna use my guitar hero instruments... but thats ok seeing as I have a real Epiphone Casino guitar like the Bealtes used :) haha

GH 1 was revolutionary but just good, GH 2 was amazing, and GH 3 was incredible! When they put in drums and the rest it just started sucking IMO. I agree with u

yes the strat and other RB controllers look more realistic and that's what i like about them, BUT, i use GH X-plorer controller because the strum bar is easier to control and fret buttons are closer together making it easier for me to strech / move my hand.

in terms of looks i give RB the nod, in terms of playability i give the GH controllers the nod

however Rb > GH by alllllllot

not to mention the ugly GH-Guitars with their silly buttons and small corpi. While the Rockband guitar is still noticably smaller than a real strat, with its seamless fretboard it looks at least decent somehow. Not like a toy.
