What about Pursued, Crossfire, Farewell my Lovely, The Big Sleep, The Lusty Men, The Enemy Below, That Championship Season...? Pretty much anything with Mitchum is worth watching for him alone.
FWIW I'm really put off Night of the Hunter (great though Mitch is in it) by that terrible girl child actor, the worst I've ever seen. She makes Shirley Temple look like Meryl Streep, she's that bad!
