Doris Day calls Magic 63 to celebrate her 85th birthday (2009/1st call) (part 1-7)

Here is the first of the two phone calls our Doris made to Magic 63 his year to celebrate her 85th birthday. I had so much fun hearing her talking about the nasty letter she received from a fan that was angry she didnt answer a letter regarding a present she sent to Doris... And also when Doris said, laughing hard, that she loved the present but didnt like the letter!... (Dodo explanation about why she didnt respond the letter is in this recording, that is already one of my favorite listening materials!).

It is normal she forgets things at her age. It's hard to believe how old she is because she sounds at least 10-15 years younger :). I wish my nan lived to her age :(. My nan had dementia and cancer sadly but Doris is so well! Maybe having a cheerful attitude and friends and animals makes you live longer? That's what I've heard and I believe it! She is not recalling or remembering some of the things brought up -- but she is 85+. More than 25% of people her age have dementia. This lack of recall (recognition if enough details are brought up) is happening to so many people (including myself) over 50. Doris, keep that brain of yours active, and keep your spirits happy! Don't worry about responding to all your fans . . . you are doing the best you can, and you are loved by so many.
