Deputy Cultural Attaché Rakesh Surampudi interviews author Daniyal Mueenuddin, author of "In Other Rooms, Other Wonders"

Daniyal Mueenuddin was brought up in Lahore, Pakistan and Elroy, Wisconsin. A graduate of Dartmouth College and Yale Law School, his stories have appeared in The New Yorker, Grants, Zoetrope, and The Best American Short Stories 2008.

For a number of years he practiced law in New York. He now lives on a farm in Pakistan's southern Punjab.

The U.S. Embassy brought Daniyal to London and Birmingham to attend the Asia House Festival of Asian Literature and to speak with students, writers, and artists about his new book, "In Other Rooms, Other Wonders".
